VDS column change can cause unexpected error pop-up for reflections – Dremio Support

Overview

A change made to a VDS can cause a UI error pop up when the reflection tab is selected

Applies To

Releases 21.0.0 to 21.1.0

Details

If the user removes a column from a VDS that has a reflection configured they might encounter a UI error that looks something like this

Cause

This problem is caused by a known defect outlined in internal jira DX-48778. The issue causes a modal error dialog instead of showing the expected error as outlined above.

Solution

Upgrade Dremio to version 21.1.1 or later.
