Dear Dremio Customer,
Following the critical infrastructure migration of Dremio Cloud's control plane completed on May 9, 2026, we're writing to let you know about a related change to how Dremio Cloud stores query profiles.
What changed: To improve data-isolation, data-sovereignty, and compliance, query profiles are now stored within your project storage. Depending on your configuration, these are stored in your Dremio-managed storage or your own cloud storage bucket.
Details
- Retention period: Profiles stored in the project store are retained for 30 days. Dremio automatically removes any profiles older than 30 days.
- Managing storage size: If you use customer-managed project storage (i.e., project storage managed by your organization), you can delete older profile folders to shorten the retention period. We recommend retaining at least 7 days of profiles for troubleshooting and issue triage.
To learn more, see managing projects.
Do I Need to Take Action?
Profile cleanup happens automatically, and the 7-day recommendation is optional guidance for teams that want to manage storage size while retaining enough history for troubleshooting.
Thank you for your partnership.
Kind regards,
Dremio Customer Support
