Who this affects
Customers using sql.dremio.com or sql.eu.dremio.com endpoints (the non-Arrow Flight JDBC/ODBC endpoint) with private-only connectivity enabled.
What is changing
To bring all SQL endpoints in line with the intended behavior of private-only connectivity, Dremio will block public access to sql.dremio.cloud and sql.eu.dremio.cloud for organizations with private-only connectivity enabled. Arrow Flight SQL endpoints already enforce private access by default and will not be affected by this change.
Timeline
The change will take effect on October 23, 2026.
Required actions
If your organization has private-only connectivity enabled and any client still connects through sql.dremio.cloud or sql.eu.dremio.cloud, update those clients to the Arrow Flight SQL JDBC or ODBC drivers and connect through your private Arrow Flight SQL endpoint before October 23, 2026.
